HI! I'M RUBEN POGOZHAEV
I'm 30 years old, and I've been making wedding films for the last 12 years. During this professional period of my life I've been able to feel each couple and I also discovered the changes of what an ideal wedding is. Due to this I 've created absolutely new format of wedding shooting.
AND WHAT'S SO SPECIAL ABOUT THESE FILMS?
This format gives me free hands. Thanks to it, I can search for unique stories, reveal people's characters.
Any " Lean over to her... Cut! Let's do it again" makes it impossible to show the inner world of the main characters. It is not necessary to pet her a hundred times — beauty can be shown in different way.
I have a Studio "KUST", where I control all the process and inspect shooting material. And this project is rather my soul project. It gives me opportunity to create something really special for people who can appreciate that.
There is no point to show off all shooting devices like fixes, zooms, filters etc. The only thing you need to know is - I shoot in 4K. As a result you will get a high quality picture.
Musical video sequence is too trivial. I use clip-on microphones, sound recordings and other audio devices for making a movie full of volume, original sounds and voices.
I will stop shooting a toast about the "ship of love" if someone is making a surprise for the newly-weds at the other end of the room. The characters of the people come first!

During the wedding preparation it was already obvious that the newlyweds and their relatives and friends are incredibly open and lovely with absolutely fantastic sense of humour! And I made it sure at the feast. The idea to create the film based on the most powerful and emotional element of the whole event — on words, was set in the basis of the working version, while stunning decorations of the feast became just a beautiful part of the evening.

Wedding is a very thrilling event especially for those who are fans of overthinking much. That happened to Luda. Otherwise it would be just fine celebration with plenty of cool dances, but when Dima was at the coffee bar sipping a drink with friends we were with the bride at her room.

What will be included in a 15 minute film?
I can't say for sure but my key task is to tell about the wedding event through the story. Due to it true characters' traits can be revealed, but don't panic I am including all important moments of the day such as: the first glance, registration process, walking, cake and etc.
When and how can the idea be born?
Its sketches appear at our first coffee meeting and then ideas are growing more and more. The most important thing is to see the truly characters and create the film based not only on narration of the wedding day itself but on the story of a couple which I always tend to create in my work.
How detailed do we describe our wedding preparation?
As many details as it's possible. If we have some gaps during the event we may face some troubles :) The shade of the bride's dress and exact sunset time of the wedding day is very significant as well as the day timing. You should be ready to answer around 1,5 million questions :)
Why do we need to meet with you at the very beginning of our preparation?
Because I am a very meticulous person and I must know everything precisely (watch question N3) I can also give you pieces of advice about good organizer or photographer , how to choose wedding and suit and how to build day timing properly.
When will the film be ready?
I suppose if you heard about the deadlines from you friends or someone else I can surprise you — I do it in a month.
Can it be cheaper?
Yes, it can. The given price is presented due to high season (Fridays and Saturdays from October to June) If you have your event planned in another month or weekdays or even if your day is so cool and extraordinary I am ready to give you a discount for sure! We can always find a trade-off!
